ANTIGONE
(North-East Village Version)
As part of the 2nd Hong Kong People's Fringe Festival 2013

'ANTIGONE' is a Greek play written by the great tragedian Sophocles. This new rendition will take place in the Ping Yeung New Village in Ping Che, Ta Kwu Ling in the north east New Territories. Surrounded by greenery, the spectators witness this tragedy that is brought about by an ancient Greek king's negligence to ethics and public opinion to forbid a burial. The tragedy unfolds right under your nose in this beautiful village.
