Certificate Theatre Course for Youths (Stage 2)

About the Course

Stage 2 of this course picks up from where Certificate Theatre Course for Youths Stage 1 ended. The main focus will still be 'Fundamental Theatre Training.' Students also learn about World Theatre History during this course to have a more in-depth understanding the development of theatre in the world. There will be 24 classes plus one informal showing which will be coached by the teachers at the completion of the course. Highly commended  students may be invited to join Theatre Horizon's future theatre productions*.

Fundamental Theatre Training
In-depth exploration of basic theatre concepts, training of movement and the voice, concentration and imagination, senses, observation, communication and improvisation.

World Theatre History
A brief introduction to the development of theatre from the middle ages to the present, the representatives and theatre works of differenet periods in history. This will help students to understand more about how theatre is made in History.

*Cheung Chun Man, student, joined the cast of Theatre Horizon's production of Beyond the Horizon in March 2017.
