Theatre Horizon Presents

Pre-show Seminar on
Peer Gynt of the New Director's Movement

In times of turmoil, do we 'live as our true selves' and be humans? Or do we 'live only for ourselves' and be trolls?

Approaching 2018, how would we perceive and decipher Ibsen's Peer Gynt? Renowned Hong Kong composer, Kung Chi-shing is going to start up the conversation with the 'new director', Chung Siu Hei, by talking about the suite 'Peer Gynt' of the Norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg. Together they will explore how a verse play written 150 years ago can be related to contemporary Hongkongers.

Speaker: Mr. Kung Chi Shing (Composer, performer, music activist and the Mentor of Peer Gynt's director, Chung Siu Hei) and Chung Siu Hei (Director of "Peer Gynt", a New Directors' Movement' production)
Host: Chan Chu-hei (Artistic Director of Theatre Horizon)
